Living in the suburbs has changed my skincare greatly. When I was in San Francisco, summer weather in the city meant chilly winds and overcast days. I cuddled up in sweaters and pants most of the time. And I never really felt the major need to use a lot of lotion because the air in SF had a lot of moisture. Now that I’m actually experiencing a real summer and were talking 100 degree weather, my skin has gotten not only tanned, but dry!
My usual lotion works, but I find myself needing to reapply throughout the day. I also use coconut oil from time to time because we always have it in our kitchen. It works great, but it makes me kinda smell like I’ve been cooking all day haha. I recently tried L’Occitane’s Almond Oil products and I’m in LOVE! Not only is the smell wonderful, but I actually felt moisturized just after using the almond shower oil. Crazy right?! AND I’ve heard wonders about the Almond Skin Oil for women during pregnancy. A few of my mom friends swear by it in preventing stretch marks.
